Join us for a conversation with Grace Bonney, founder of Design*Sponge and author of the newly released In the Company of Women. Her book celebrates an exceptional group of strong, talented, and creative women who have blazed trails, launched their own businesses, and supported other women along the way. Bonney highlights a wide range of makers, artists, designers, and creators including Debbie Millman, Louise Fili, Carla Hall, Dana Tanmachi, Maya Lin, and Tavi Gevinson. Extending the book’s theme locally, Grace will be interviewed by another phenomenal woman, Tina Johnson-Marcel , Flagship content director at Capital One.

Grace Bonney

founder of DesignSponge

Grace Bonney is the founder of Design Sponge, a daily website dedicated to the creative community. Design Sponge was founded in 2004 and currently reaches nearly 2 million readers per day. She has amassed almost 2 million combined followers across all social platforms. Bonney has worked as a contributing editor at publications such as House & Garden, Domino, and Craft magazine. She is passionate about supporting all members of the creative community; she runs an annual scholarship for up-and-coming designers, writes a free business column for creatives, and is the host of a weekly radio show, After the Jump. Her first book, Design*Sponge at Home, is a national bestseller. After 12 years in Brooklyn, Grace now lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with her wife, Julia, and their three pets.
